About Me

Here on this blog I will show you lots of my obsessions with craft and creativity.  I have always made a mess when creating since being a young child.  I started with the normal kind of things, drawing, painting and cutting up bits of paper for collages.  I have to admit that although I did pass my 'O' level Art, I'm not actually any good at drawing or painting.

At school I learnt knitting, cross-stitching and embroidery and dressmaking which was initially using an old Singer handle machine.  The first thing I knitted was a simple garter stitch coin purse and because I did such a good job, I was allowed to knit a glove puppet.  The glove puppet took much more concentration to complete, but I was incredibly proud when I had finished it.

Since those early days, I have tackled many crafts including crochetting, home furnishings, beading, jewellery making, bead making, stamping, card making and scrapbooking to name just a few.

I sell some of my crafts, but mostly I make them for gifts or for my own pleasure.  If you are interested in purchasing anything you see throughout my blog, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Happy reading,

Kate Campion
